Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Office
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We stand with survivors, and will continue to honor those we’ve lost, support those who are healing, and dedicate ourselves to breaking the cycle of abuse. Domestic violence affects people of every age, race, gender, and background, and preventing it requires all of us working together. This month, we join partners across Prince George’s County to raise awareness, promote prevention, and ensure survivors receive the justice, protection, and resources they deserve. Together, we can build safer, stronger, and more resilient communities this month and beyond.
Charles County State’s Attorney Office:
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic Violence is the effort to maintain power and control over an intimate partner through means of willful intimidation and abuse. It does not discriminate against age, economic class, religion, sexual orientation, gender, or nationality – it affects individuals in every community. The State’s Attorney’s Office stands in support of domestic violence survivors, and we are committed to achieving justice for those affected. If you or someone you know needs help, there are resources available. If you are in immediate danger, please call 911 to reach police. The Center for Abused Persons’ 24-hour hotline is 301-645-3336. Together, we can make a difference and end the cycle of abuse. For more information:
