I attended a Pre-Application Neighborhood Meeting on 2/15/25, with approximately 50 other concerned local residents at the recently newly renovated Baden Library.

The owner of the 30-acres site was purchased about 2 years ago in a residential agriculture zoned area and is planning to build a 30-room building with offices and a commercial kitchen on private well and septic.
The owners preliminary received a special exception from the MNCPPC Planning Board.
The meeting held, was a Pre- Application Neighborhood Meeting, moderated by an engineer, which is required by the MNCPPC Planning Board. No owners or other representatives from OurCare Inc. were at the meeting. The meeting became a little heated when some residents were venting their frustration at the engineer. A local resident quickly stood up and stated that this is not the way Baden, Brandywine, and Aquasco residents should conduct themselves. The engineer is just responsible for the engineering phase of the development and is not the owners of the county officials who are trying to build the facility. The meeting continued, and the engineer stated, there will be other meeting in the future and he didn’t know at this time who would be housed at the facility, other than it would be uses as a special care facility.
