Jerold Kevin Darlington March 14, 1997 Gibbons Church Road and Brandywine Road A 34-year-old man was discovered shot in a roadside ditch. Historical homicide; current investigative status requires confirmation.
Stephen Dwight Williams and Marlon Dion Burford January 6, 1999 7000 block of Accokeek Road Two men were discovered shot inside an abandoned van. Current investigative status requires confirmation.

Unidentified male homicide victim October 27, 2014 Cedarville Road and Bevard Road, Brandywine A man’s body was discovered with an apparent injury. Police investigated the death as a homicide; current status needs confirmation.

Sterling Emmanuel Settle — Brandywine, October 13, 1995Sterling was a 14-year-old Oxon Hill High School student.His body was discovered along a logging road off Covington Road in Brandywine. He had suffered gunshot wounds. This case is particularly relevant because the Charles County Sheriff’s Office continues to list it as an active cold-case investigation.

Dawn Michelle Holt, 20 April 25, 1996 Howard Johnson’s motel, Waldorf, Charles County Remains missing; foul play is suspected. Maryland State Police investigates this case.
Jack Moore, 63 January 8, 2003 Gillespie Circle, Waldorf Fatally shot during a robbery. A January 2025 appeal described the case as unsolved.
Brandon Andrew Briscoe, 24 February 17, 2018 12100 block of Ell Lane, Waldorf Shot outside an apartment building. A February 2026 appeal identifies the homicide as unsolved.
