Giant has announced the new store in Bowie will be opening next week and also that the Giant 30 miles away in Waldorf, MD will be closing. There is no news about closing the Giant in Upper Marlboro, MD, which is 10 miles away.
The new location at 810 Fairmont Drive will replace the Giant Food store at 3500 N.W. Crain Hwy., which will close at 6 p.m. on March 27. The new store will open at 6 a.m. on March 28, the company said.
