Croom Rd. (MD 382) was original scheduled to be open by August before the children returned to school but the bridge project is still running behind scheduled.
Maryland State Highway Administration, recent update, October 2026: The construction detour will now remain in effect until mid to late fall 2026. The contractor is making every effort to minimize this delay in roadway opening and project completion, while also working to ensure a safe construction site for the project. Additional information and updates will be provided as they become available.
