Baden, MD. the more rural areas of Brandywine, MD. I and the people in this community to include south in Aquasco, MD. and a little north in the rural part of Upper Marlboro, MD. Prince George’s County, are use to paying a little less in taxes than individuals that receives trash and recycling services but receives alot less in county services.I believe, I can speak for the majority of the citizens in this rural area, we would like to keep it rural. No more 5 to 10 acres lot new housing communities. No planned RV Park and Resort to include 300 campsites on Brandywine Rd. or Special Care 30 Room Facility on Letcher Rd. No Data Center in Eagle Harbor or Landover Mall. Data Centers require huge amount of electricity and water. The rural areas of the county, homeowners are on well water and septic and these natural resources can only support so much new development.
Baden Westwood Rd. Bald Eagle School Rd. Horsehead Rd. haven’t been repaved, I know in the last twenty years only patched. We are use to driving more towards the center of the lanes, its become the norm to avoid the crumbling potholes in the curb lanes. To ask the citizens not to litter or to dump illegally and to expect the Prince George’s County Government and Maryland State to maintain state and county roadways and keep them clean, should not be asking too much.
Reopening of the Bojangles in Largo Town Center. The Management for Largo Town Center will not negotiate with the Franchise owner of Bojangles. The building was recently vandalized and sits vacant for over 3 years. If not Bojangles occupying the location then a different franchise or business.

Residential Trash
The Sustainable Waste Management Division (SWMD) provides trash collection services to approximately 180,000 homes in the PG County.Residents in neighborhoods not covered by the county service (often in more rural areas) are responsible for hiring private waste haulers.Neighborhoods mainly in some sections of Prince George’s Co. Aquasco, MD. Brandywine, Maryland, Upper Marlboro, MD. and Fort Washington, MD. don’t have trash or recycling services.Prince George’s County only offers 2 Convenience Centers locations to drop off household trash. The citizens of Baden, Brandywine and Aquasco, MD. needs an additional location in this end of the county to drop off household trash. Citizens are not supposed to drop off trash at local Prince George’s County Public Schools and Lolita E. Walker, PGCPS Board of Education, District 9 School District, or any other site except at the Convenience Centers or pay for private waste hauler. Some do not and dumped their trash in unauthorized locations. This location is Baden Elementary, one day after Christmas.
There is an unregistered and abandoned boat in the 18000 blk of Croom Rd. just feet off the roadway and it has been there for approx. 5 years. Does anyone have any updates on the future plans for Baden Elementary and Baden Library in 2028 once students are mergered to the new location at Brandywine K – 8?
Statement from Dr. Charoscar Coleman of PGCPS.Dr. Charoscar Coleman, the district’s chief operating officer, told the board the new third-through-eighth building will be sited at Gwynn Park Middle School and that Gwynn Park will be demolished to accommodate the new facility. He said Baden Elementary’s future use remains under determination but that the district expects to surplus the Baden building back to county government while the adjoining public library would likely remain in service.
