A horse and two ponies that went missing for over 24 hours, were located in Brandywine, Maryland with the help of a drone. Thanks to First Response Drone Pet Search & Rescue, who read about the missing horses on a lost and found pets site on FB and offered their services.
? The missing horse & ponies in Braden/ Brandywine, Md are SAFE & HOME! ??We got a message for help late last night for a missing horse & two ponies. The owner was quite distraught and wanted help.?Bernie Hilditch packed up early in the morning at 4am for a thermal drone search.The horse & ponies had been out for 24hrs at this point & there had been no sightings for the past 14hrs?The search began covering the heavily wooded 15 acre property of the owner- no horses.The search extended out to a little over a mile, when the horses were spotted two neighborhoods away.Bernie pinned the horses location and sent it to the owners phone. Everyone packed up and drove to the location– just as the horses went back to the woods edge near a tower line.We quickly got the drone back in the air to provide over watch as the owner went to the woods edge to retrieve the horse & ponies without incident.??
